Revised Site Plan

September 26, 2008

Dear Friends:

On June 20th, we submitted to East Norriton Township our Land Development Application for the new medical center. After seeking and receiving feedback from members of the community and our Board, we have chosen to make several modifications to the plan that we have submitted for the Planning Commission to review at its upcoming meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st.

The new site plan includes the following noteworthy modifications:

  • In the previous plan, the Emergency Department was located on the west side closest to the neighbors on Whitehall Road. In the new site plan, the Emergency Department has been moved to the opposite side of the hospital, to the center of the property, and farther away from neighboring residences.
  • As a result of the change in location of the Emergency Department, the Medical Office Building has now been moved to the west side of the site. The Medical Office Building will only be open during business hours and will serve as an additional visual and acoustical shield to the neighbors that will further block the activities of the main hospital operations, including the loading dock and much of the parking. As you will see in the site plan, the landscaping also anticipates a natural barrier of trees along the edge of the property.
  • The height of the Medical Office Building has been reduced from four stories to two stories.
  • The total square footage of the new hospital building has been decreased from 440,000 square feet to 380,000 square feet.

I look forward to seeing you at the Planning Commission meeting on October 1st at the East Norriton Middle School.

Sincerely,

Richard Montalbano
