About Us

New Medial Center rendering

Welcome

The Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (AEHN) and the Montgomery Hospital Medical Center (MHMC) welcome you to movinghealthcareforward.org. This website provides up-to-date information about the collaboration between our two hospitals, both in terms of our clinical activities as well as the planning of a new state-of-the-art medical center that will serve the communities of central Montgomery County and become a model for compassionate, advanced patient care.

Moving Healthcare Forward

AEHN and MHMC have joined together to improve our patients’ access to advanced medical services in their own communities. Our Partnership is a direct response to the community’s clear need for advanced medical services such as intensive care for infants, neurosurgery, and advanced cardiac and cancer care services. Currently, more than 60% of central Montgomery County residents leave the area when they require hospital care, traveling 25 minutes to an hour to receive medical service.

After a careful search for a site to best serve our communities, we have entered into an agreement to purchase property on Germantown Pike in East Norriton that is ideally situated for the beautiful medical center campus we are planning. In March 2008, the East Norriton Township Board of Supervisors approved zoning changes to the property that benefit the surrounding community by rezoning a portion of the property from commercial use to institutional use, reducing potential development and traffic, and enabling us to preserve a third of the property as open green space. Our land use and construction planning for the new medical center is now well underway.

Rich Montalbano, the project executive for our new medical center initiative, is publishing regular updates regarding the progress of the new hospital, and will be happy to hear from you if you have questions or suggestions. We encourage you to click here for Rich’s latest posting.

Thank you for visiting our website. We’re delighted to be working with you to move healthcare forward in central Montgomery County.
